This privacy policy explains how PRI ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you visit our website or use our feedback feature. PRI is a project of PEPKIO.
1. Information we collect
Public PRI pages do not require an account and do not use analytics trackers or marketing cookies.
If you choose to submit feedback through the feedback button (e.g., to report a potentially missing paper), you may optionally provide your email address so that we can follow up with you. Any information you submit is voluntary.
Staff who sign in to the PRI admin area use Pepkio authentication. That flow uses essential session cookies only (see Cookies below).
2. How we use your information
The information you provide via the feedback form is used solely to review and respond to your submission. We do not use it for marketing or any other purpose.
3. Data sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We may use a third-party service to process feedback form submissions; in that case, the service provider is bound to use the data only to facilitate the communication.
4. Cookies
Public PRI pages do not set tracking or analytics cookies, and no personal data is stored on your device for browsing those pages.
When authorized staff sign in to PRI admin, we use necessary cookies to complete authentication and keep the session secure (for example oidc-tokens and short-lived oidc-auth-state during sign-in). We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.
Disabling cookies in your browser may prevent staff sign-in from working.
5. Links to other websites
Our pages contain links to external sites (e.g., journal articles, OpenAlex, supplementary data). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.
6. Data retention
If you provide your email address in a feedback submission, we will retain it only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and will then delete it, unless we have a legitimate need to keep a record of the correspondence.
